I am SUN, Kun, currently a Research Assistant Professor in Department of Chemical Pathology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). I am also a staff of Centre for Research into Circulating Fetal Nucleic Acids, Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences and Prince of Wales Hospital.

I received my B.Sci. degree in Department of Electronic Engeneering from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in July 2010. Then I came to CUHK and obtained my Ph.D. degree in July 2014 specializing in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics under the supervision of Prof. Hao Sun and Prof. Huating Wang. Later on, I received my post-doc training under the supervision of Prof. Y.M. Dennis Lo and Prof. Rossa W.K. Chiu. I mainly work on algorithm design, data analysis and result interpretation for biological/biomedical projects (especially noninvasive prenatal testing and liquid biopsy by plasma DNA analysis) based on the second generation seqeuencing technology.
